Can you believe that Nadege Meriau created the alien landscapes above using nothing but food from the supermarket?
Olivier Richon, Head of Photography at the Royal College of Art sums it up best:
‘If in fairy tales, houses are made of sweets, Nadege Meriau does the reverse, transforming the edible into a dwelling, making architectures of fibers, vegetables and porous matter.’

So at this point i have suspended the tree branch inside the cube. I like the way it looks so far but i am completely stuck as to where to go from here. I know that i want to create an environment around this branch, making it look like a frozen screen from a video game. So now i just have to figure out how to do that!
For my final project i was inspired by the fantastical and other worldly like places that most video games and almost all fantasy based gaming have as there setting. For example in super smash brothers they have super surreal set ups in the middle of space for the characters to battle on. So i was originally thinking that i would create an environment similar to these, something fantasy based, and surreal, playing with what is real and what is illusion. Manipulating materials to make them seem like they are performing the impossible. Artists- Diana Al Hadid
